Vera Patricia KENDELL (nee Fiander) Woodville, NL Oct. 1, 1930 - Nov. 16, 2009 Vera Patricia kendell (nee Fiander), Woodville, age 79, passed peacefully away November 16, 2009 at Dr. Charles L. Legrow Health Center, Port Aux Basques with her children by her side. Born October 1, 1930 to the late Isaac and Ethel Fiander. She was predeceased by her husband Charlie in 2003; infant daughter at birth; brothers: George, Jack and Vincent; sisters: Dorothy, Ruth and Elizabeth. Mom will forever be remembered by daughters: Judy (Gerry), Millville, NL, Nancy (Bob) Brooks, AB, Bonnie (Trent) Lakeside, NS; sons: Charlie Jr. (Judy), New Glasgow, NS, Dennis (Maureen) St. John’s, NL, Donald (Pearl) Lower Sackville, NS; grandchildren: Kris (Lucie), Kirk, Emily, Shawna, Rachel, Jennifer, Nathan and Lauren; great-grandchild Julia; brother Ralph (Marion) Woodville; sisters: Hilda, Port Aux Basques and Marie (Jack) Woodville; sisters-in-law: Rita, Gladys, Kay, Nora, Addie, Muriel (Alex) Port Aux Basques; brothers-in-law Eric (Irene) and Ira, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, many friends with special mention of her dear friend Geraldine. She was very active in her church as well as the ACW, also a member of the Oceanview Seniors Club, enjoyed knitting, darts, and bingo. She was gifted with a great memory, which was evident in her storytelling. Friends may visit Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Codroy on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, from where the Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, November 19th at 2:00 p.m., Reverend Boote officiating. Interment will follow at the Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted.
