Leona Alley
August 25, 1936 – August 27, 2022
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Minnie “Leona” Alley (nee Hulan) announce her passing on August 27, 2022, at the Long Term Care Facility in Happy Valley – Goose Bay at the age of 86. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Lorna (Gary) Ernst, Rosalind (Ron) Alley and Russell; grandchildren: Aaron Ernst, and Ashton (Shylah) Ernst; great-granddaughters: Amber and Allie Ernst; brother Gerald (Dorothy) Hulan of St. Catherine’s, Ontario; sisters: Paulette Hewlin of Cow Head, and Catherine Morris of Robinson’s; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Leona was predeceased by her husband Vincent Alley; parents John and Maisie Hulan; parents-in-law Thomas and Lavina (Belle) Alley; brothers: John (infant), Robert, Roland, and Richard; as well as her sister: Emma Piccott.
In keeping with Leona’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be updated as it becomes available.
