Obituary of Agnes Chaffey

Agnes Chaffey

St. David’s, NL

November 20, 1940 – September 9, 2022

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Agnes Chaffey announce her passing on September 9, 2022 at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, NL at the age of 81 years. 

She leaves to mourn with fond memories her husband of 64 years, Carl Chaffey; her children:  Susan (Donald), Gregory (Lorraine); grandchildren:  Chad, Ryan, Parrk; great-grandchildren:  Ayden, Sophie, Lundyn, Harlan, Erin;  her brother George Alley and her sister Angela Cross.

She was predeceased by her parents:  Courtney and Giulia (Dolly); brothers: Lewellyn, Rossburn, Steve, Basil, Charlie, William.

Agnes was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family.  She really enjoyed helping out at the Church, being part of the ACW, knitting, preserving, and card games.

Family would like to extend a special thank you to the nursing staff, Dr. Dwyer and Dr. Nwalagu of Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital for their compassion and care. 

Graveside service, Anglican Cemetery, St. David's, Tuesday, September 13, 2022  at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Norman Cutler presiding.  As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Anglican Church in St. David’s.
