It is with great sadness that the family of the late Agnes Kenny announce her peaceful passing on September 11, 2022 at the Western Long Term Care home (Natures Haven) in Corner Brook, NL at the age of 88. She was surrounded by her loving family and holding the hand of her loving husband.

Agnes Josephine Kenny (nee Murphy) was born April 23, 1934 in Calvert (Caplin Bay) NL. She grew up on a well-known farm named Mr. Pad Murphy’s Farm. She met a young man from Fermuese, NL by the name of Patrick Raymond Kenny. They married November 22, 1958 on the Southern Shore of Newfoundland. They started their life in Happy-Valley Goose Bay, with a move to Placentia, and a move back to Happy Valley-Goose Bay, before settling in Deer Lake in 1972. In Deer Lake, Agnes started a lifetime of volunteering with the Catholic Woman’s League and the Lions Club. She spent countless hours volunteering with various organizations such as the Vera Perlin Society, Canadian Red Cross, Beavers, Brownies, and Deer Lake Minor Hockey.
