Obituary of Brian Sherlock Allingham

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Brian Sherlock Allingham, announce his passing on September 16^th, 2022, at the Labrador Grenfell Health Centre in Happy Valley-Goose Bay at the age of 52 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his mother Bessie Allingham; sisters: Jessie Allingham (Jason), Lisa Allingham (Calvin), Kim MacAulay (Gordon), Trudy Hall (Rick), and Felicia Allingham (Jason), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, the Special Olympics team, extended family members who held him close to their hearts, and friends who treated him like family. Brian was predeceased by his father George Allingham.

Visitations will take place at the United Church in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Sunday,  September 18^th from 7-9PM and on Monday, September 19^th from 2-4 and 7-9PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 20^th at 2:00PM from the United Church with Reverend Wayne Blackwood officiating. Internment to follow at the United Church Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, flowers or donations will be accepted by the family.

Brian’s family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to Dr. Woollam, Dr. McCarthy, Dr. Thompkins, Angie Lawrence, Denise Gould, and all other medical staff who helped with his care. Most of all, thank you to his mom, who was always by his side and, in Brian’s words, “was a good nurse and a good cook.”
