It is with great sadness that the family of the late Brenda Mary Anstey announce her passing on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Western Long Term Care Home at the age of 81 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 60 years Ed Anstey; sons: Brian (Dianne) Anstey and Gerard Anstey; grandchildren: Anne Marie Anstey and Brandon Anstey; great-grandchildren: Chelsie, Isabelle, Kingston, Everlee and Aurora; sister Gertrude Oakley; brothers: David (Judy) Webber and James (Catherine) Webber; sisters and brothers-in-law: Marg Webber, Justine Webber, Susan Webber, Freeman (Nita) Anstey, Willie (Onslow) Anstey, Edith Halfyard, Cliff (Joyce) Anstey, Ruby Owens and Francis O'Quinn; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Marie Webber, twin sister Barbara Chafe (Brian), sister Catherine Tulk, brothers Tom, Joe and Frank Webber, parents-in-law Walter and Rachel Anstey, sister-in-law Jean Simmons. Cremation has taken place a memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 28 from the hours of 2-5 p.m. at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue, Corner Brook. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Western Long Term Care, Stillwaters 3rd Floor. The family would like to give a special “Thank you” to all of the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Western Long Term Care, Stillwaters Care Unit who helped care for Brenda.
