Edgar Reginald Moores October 17, 1934 – February 20, 2018 It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Edgar Reginald Moores announce his passing at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony, NL on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the age of 83 years. Reg had a long and successful career with both the Provincial and Federal government and was a retired member of the Canadian Rangers. Everyone who knew Reg knew that he loved the outdoors; spending many of his days hunting, trapping and salmon fishing in the Pinware River. He was a very caring man who worked hard to provide everything for his family. He was well-known and loved by so many and will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 61 years, Lily, and their seven children: Gardner (Alice), Bern (Pauline), Shiela (Joe), Pat (Bruce), Terry (Madonna), Barry (Loretta), and Bonnie (Jason), 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, his brother Denley (Patsy) and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father and mother Graham and Hilda Moores and brother Clayton. The family would like to thank Dr. Hay and the staff in the ICU at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital for the care and comfort they offered Reg. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 23rd at 2:00 PM at the Red Bay United Church with interment to follow at the Red Bay United Church cemetery.
