CARD OF THANKS

The family of the late Molly Young would like to thank everyone for their kindness during this difficult time.

For the many gifts of food, flowers, memorial donations, visits and phone calls, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  Your kindness was greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten. 

Sharing fond memories with everyone at the funeral home was very special and lifted our hearts.  To everyone who attended the church service, thank you.  It was very comforting to know Mom had so many people who cared about her.  Special thanks to "Uncommom Praise" and Reverend Mickton Phiri for the beautiful service.

Thank you to the staff at Palliative care for the tender care they provided Mom during her short stay with them.

A special thank you to our niece, Lana Childs, for all the help and support, and to Diane Rowe, a very special friend, who went the distance for Mom.

Special thanks to Florence and the staff at Fillatres Funeral home.  Your compassion and professionalism will never be forgotten.

Mary Emma Young “Molly”

February 12, 1920 – September 29, 2022

Corner Brook, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Molly Young announce her passing on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Western Long Term Care, Palliative Unit at the age of 102 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons: Roy (Jane) and Eric (Peggy); daughter: Debbie (Keith) with whom she resided; daughter-in-law Marg; 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She is predeceased by her husband Herbert (2012), son Brian (2016), daughter-in-law Marie (2008), 15 brothers and sisters and parents Moses and Emma Sheppard. Friends and family may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Friday evening from 7-9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 2nd , 2022 at 2:00 P.M. from St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, Park Drive with Reverend Mickton officiating. Cremation to follow with burial on Monday, October 3^rd at 1:00 P.M. at Mt. Patricia cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael and All Angels Memorial fund.
