It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alice O'Brien Jones announce her passing on Sunday, October 2nd, 2022 at CISSS, Blanc Sablon at the age of 89 years. Alice was the daughter the late Leo O'Brien and Philomene Jocas. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Leonie, Angeline, Melvin, Terry, Rodrigue and Keith; 13 grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren; sister, Beatrice; brothers Mederic, Bernard and Leo; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Gilbert (Gibby) Jones; daughter Betty-Anne, sisters, Bridget, Olive, Louisa and Ruby; brothers Clifford and Laurence.
Friends may visit Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Church in Lourdes de Blanc Sablon on Monday evening from 7-9:00 p.m. , Tuesday, 10-9:00 PM and Wednesday morning from 10 AM to noon, from where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 5th at 2:00 PM.. followed by interment at the church cemetery.
