Vida Joyce Brake

May 11, 1955 – October 16, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of a dear wife,  mother, grandmother and sister, Vida Joyce Brake (nee Crocker) on Sunday, October 16^th, 2022 at the age of 67 years.  Leaving to mourn her husband  Bruce of 45 years; daughter Brandy (Raymond Weldon); extra special grandchildren Keegan and Ella; brother Ralph (Kim Crocker), Melissa Crocker (Roland deceased), Theresa (Wayne Noseworthy) and Shirley (Myron Sheppard); extended family and in-laws: Marie (Pat), George (Donna), Doreen (Mean), Charles (Marion), Hughie (Mary), Jerry (Karen) and many nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers.  Predeceased by her parents Basil and Annie Crocker, brother Lawrence, sisters Lorinda, Geraldine, Georgina and Cedella; father and mother-in-law Brazil and Stella Brake. The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at Western Memorial Hospital, the Ambulance attendants, and a special thank you to Blaine and Tara for standing by Bruce at this sad time.  Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Thursday, October 20^th from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be on Friday, October 21^st at 2:00 p.m. from Fillatre’s Chapel, 4 St. Marks avenue with Reverend Canon Jeffrey Petten officiating. Cremation to follow with a private burial service at a later date.
