The family of Anna Doris Jesso (nee Abbott) are saddened to announce her passing on October 21, 2022. Doris passed away at Western Memorial Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit with Family by her side, in her 93rd year. She will be lovingly remembered by her three children: Pamela (Ted), with whom she resided, Patricia (Roy) and Clifton (Anita), extended Family members, Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. She will be missed by her puppy companions Griffin and Seger.

Doris was predeceased by her Husband, Howard Jesso in 2001, her Sisters Reda Payne and Inez Russell and her Parents John and Esther Abbott.

Doris, originally from Port Au Port, NL, was married in Corner Brook, NL, in 1956. Doris and Howard resided in Curling where they raised their family, with Doris being a stay-at-home Mom. Doris appreciated the simple things in life like a good cup of tea and toast with bakeapple jam which she enjoyed for breakfast every morning for the past several years.

The Family would like to send a special Thank You to her primary care giver Sylvia and also to Dale, Betty, and Kayla for taking such great care of her.

We would also like to thank the Doctors and Nurses of Western Memorial Regional Hospital and the Palliative Care Nurses, Beulah and Julie for taking exceptional care of our Dear Mother in her time of need.

A visitation for friends and family will take place on Monday, October 24^th from the hours of 10am-12pm at Fillatre Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue. A funeral service will follow on Monday afternoon at 2:00PM from Fillatre Funeral Home Chapel, 4 St. Marks Avenue with Father Jim Robertson officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.
