Obituary of Genivive Rumbolt
Please share a memory of Genivive to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
After a brave, stubborn fight against cancer for three years, Genivive Rumbolt passed away peacefully on October 22, 2022, at the Labrador Health Centre, Happy Valley Goose Bay at the age of 65. She was surrounded by her loving husband, daughter, and close family. Genivive was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, she was a very generous and genuine person. Not only did she care deeply for her family, but she also deeply cared for others and would treat them like her own. She made the tastiest carrot cake, battered fish, Sunday dinners, and most of all her bread. She enjoyed watching “Murder she wrote” every night at 9:00pm , old country western movies, playing dice, having a look out the window and telling her stories. Genivive was predeceased by her parents; Gordon and Josephine Chubbs; Siblings: Hazel Snow, and Emily Holley. As well as her in laws, Lorenzo, and Mary Rumbolt. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 47 years Gerald. Siblings; Annie Rumbolt, Anita Brake and Calvin Chubbs. Children; Koren, Calvin (Liz) Colleen (Damian), Lorenzo( Megan). Grandchildren; Robin (Justin), Kenny, Jesse , Brandon (Sierra) Thea, Crystal (Jake), Zack (Morgan), Monica(Marcus) Kendra, Tanner and Tucker. Great Grandchildren; Cooper, Jaxon, and Sadie. As well as a large circle of nieces and nephews.
Genivive will be cremated, and a celebration of her life will take place in St.Lewis, the date is yet to be determined. We ask that only family and close friends of Genivive and Gerald attend the service.
We would also like to extend our thanks and appreciation to the LHC for the care and support they provided during her stay. As well as a thank you to everyone who has reached out to us in any way during this difficult time.
