Obituary of Linda Rita Gillard

Linda Rita Gillard
July 23, 1952 – October 25, 2022

It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Linda Rita Gillard announce her sudden passing at her home in Woody Point on October 25, 2022

Anyone who knew Linda quickly became her friend. She was known for having fun, joking around, and having a good laugh. She enjoyed playing music, darts, baking, and knitting. Linda loved her family including her fur babies and grand fur babies.

Leaving to mourn, her loving common in law husband of 25+ years Richard (Rick) Wilton; daughters Rhonda (Troy) Stuckless and Patricia Dove of Cormack; grandchildren Kyle (Lauren) Payne and Joshua Stuckless of Fort McMurray, and Colby Dove of Cormack; sister Annie King of Stephenville; sisters-in-law Glenda Wilton and Marie Wilton; and brother-in-law Jeff Wilton. Also leaving to mourn are an enormous number of loving friends, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Linda was predeceased by her father Levi Gillard; grandparents Ellen and Robert Gillard; and parents-in-law Bill and Irene Wilton.

A Visitation for family and friends will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake, on October 28, 2022, from the hours of 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will also be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home on October 29, 2022, at 2 pm. An Interment will follow at the Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery (Salvation Army Section), Wight’s Road, Deer Lake. In memory of Linda, flowers will be accepted or donations to one’s choice.
