It is with immense sadness that the family of Billy Porter announce his passing on Thursday, October 27th, 2022 at Western Long Term Care, Palliative unit at the age of 50 years. Leaving with many precious memories are his parents William and Shirley Porter; partner and friend Marilyn Ford, children: Luc, Nikita and Jared Porter; stepchildren: Amanda, Krista and Teryn; special grandchildren Redmond, Emy and Logan; sisters Kimberley and Angela; special niece Erin, nephews Alexander, James and Ethan; Godmother Brenda Kettle; grandmother Jessie Edmonds; a very large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, and as Billy would say, “brothers from another mother”.
Predeceased by his grandparents James Edmonds and Gordon and Ruth Porter; special Pop Ralph Ford and aunt Diane Basha.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Jesse Church, Dr. Dunn and the Angels on Palliative Care.
Granting Billy’s wishes, cremation has taken place, there will be a private family service at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
