It is with great sadness that the family of the late Nellie Duffney announce her passing on Monday, November 30th, 2009 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 89 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her son: Martin, Moncton, NB; granddaughter: Sonya (Scott Stockman); two great grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Evan; special friend: Eva Eldridge; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Andrew Duffney, 1988. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, December 2nd at 10:30 A.M. from Our Lady Star of the Sea, Benoits Cove, Father Bernard Buckle officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the charity of ones choice.
