It is with great sadness that the family of the late Llewellyn Hopkins announce his passing on Wednesday, December 2nd at the Health Sciences Center, St. John’s, at the age of 91 years. He will be sadly missed by his children: Rosetta (Job) Sainsbury, Cartwright, Leila (Wayne) Warnes, Pierceland, SK, Viann (Ez) Saunders, St. Lunaire, George (Pete) Barrett, Sandy Point, Rex (Golda) Hopkins, Foxtrap, CBS, Ian (Martha) Hopkins, HV-GB, and Cheryl (Chris) Soroka, HV-GB; 22 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 1 great, great grandchild; sister Lillian (Sandy) Elson; brother-in-law Robert (Anita) Burdett; sister-in-law Edith (Winston) Parsons, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by wife Clarice May (Burdett), brother Edgar, and sisters Theresa, Rhoda and Drucella. Friends visited Fillatre’s Funeral, Happy Valley-GooseBay on Friday, December 4th from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service was held on Saturday, December 5th from the Anglican Church and interment followed at the United Church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Paddon Senior’s Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
