Robert Michael Dennis
West Bay Center, NL
May 2, 1974 – Nov. 4, 2022
It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, brother, son and friend, Robert Michael Dennis, at the age of 48 years on November 4, 2022 at Western Memorial Hospital, Corner Brook, NL.
He was predeceased by his father Robert (Bobby) Jesso, grandparents Cecilia and Hughie Dennis and uncle Leroy Dennis. As they welcome Robert home we take some comfort knowing that they are together again.
Left behind to carry on his loving memory are his wife Anita; step-son Brett (Madonna) McCrae; step-daughter Cory (Trevor) McCrae; mother Mary (Henry) Dennis; brothers: Billy (Tammy) Jesso, Leroy (Sabrina) Jesso; sister April Jesso, six grandchildren, a niece and a nephew, all of whom he loved to no end. Robert will also be remembered and missed by a large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his furry side-kick Meg.
Our hearts are shattered with the sudden loss of such a kind, humble and gentle soul. Robert was known for his love of vehicles and worked as a mechanic and autobody repairman for many years. When you didn’t find Robert helping out a friend or family member working on a vehicle, you could find him entertaining his friends and family with his many stories, jokes or playing a tune on his guitar. You could know Robert for a lifetime or meet him only once, but the impact he left on your heart was immense due to his charm and charisma. He will be greatly missed and always remembered. His absence has left a great void in our hearts.
To honor and respect Robert’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or service at this time but will be held at a future date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.
“In Life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place, no one else will ever fill.”
