It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wayne Noseworthy announce his peaceful passing on November 18, 2022, in the Palliative Care Unit, Corner Brook.

Beloved husband of 52 years to Theresa; wonderful father of Glen (Kelly), Steven, Tara (Keith) and proud poppy of Luca, along with his furry friend Buddy. He also leaves to mourn his siblings: John (Karen), Sarah (Wally – deceased), and Holly (Lloyd); special uncle Don; in-laws Melissa (Roland – deceased), Shirley (Myron), Bruce (Vida – deceased), Ralph (Kim), and many loved nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his grand “mudder” Minnie (John) and “mommy” Christine (George) and special aunts and uncles who were more like brothers and sisters. Also, his in-laws Lawrence, Georgina (Milton) and Cedella (Gerry).

Friends and family may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue, on Tuesday, November 22^nd, 2022, from the hours of 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, November 23^rd, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue with Reverend Tanya White officiating.

Thank you to the wonderful health care team, we appreciated your compassion. In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations to the NL West SPCA.

Wayne was in his glee at our family gatherings, at a game of cards or having a waltz. He was well known in his automotive customer service role of 33 years. Upon retirement, he became a full time ‘taxi driver, carpenter, landscaper’ for his kiddos. We will fondly remember his quick wit and ‘Waynisms’ like “don’t do anything I wouldn’t do, unless you can do it just as good or better”. He appreciated the simplest things like playing a little ditty on the piano, sitting on the deck, family fun, and reminiscing about down the coast or ‘the crew across the pond’. His remarkable character will be missed but not forgotten. We know he will be welcomed into the yonder and be bidding 30 for 60 and watching us to keep us on our toes until we meet again.
