Rose Ann Gould
March 29, 1946 – November 20, 2022
It is with sadness that the family of the Late Rose Ann Gould of Deer Lake, NL, announce her passing on November 20, 2022, at the age of 76.
Rose is survived by her son Robert Rose; daughters Glenda Riedmiller (David), Trudy Morgan (Edward), Tammy Rose, and Tracy Rose; Earl’s daughters Ethel Kennedy (Stephen), and Denise Gould; son, Earl Gould Jr.; grandchildren Richard Wagener, Chantelle Nippard, Christie-Leigh Rose, Krystofer Rose, Tamika Rose, Eric Rose, Linsey Gould, Jenny Gould, Mindy Gould, Kelsey Gould, Jessica Gould and Luke Gould; ten great-grandchildren; her siblings Bruce Chambers (Julie), Patsy Genge (Gary), and Winnie Fields (Stafford).
Rose was born in Flowers Cove, Newfoundland, one of 5 siblings. She left home at the young age of 16 and traveled to St. Anthony, NL to work at the hospital. Her first husband was Thomas Maxwell Rose; his family ran the local Theatre in Flower’s Cove, where the two met and became enchanted with one another. They started their family right away and in no time they had five young children running around. In 1969 they moved to Goose Bay, Labrador, and Rose loved her newfound home. She made many friends over the years and found her church family at the Pentecostal Church.
After the death of her first husband, she was reacquainted with an old friend, whom she married, Earl Winston Gould. Compatible from day one, they enjoyed playing skippo, uno, and camping. They both loved their grandchildren more than anything in the world. Their travels were between Newfoundland and Alberta visiting family. Rose was a good cook, but she was a fantastic baker! Most of all, she loved a good time with family and friends! It didn’t matter if she had 5 people to feed or 25, she loved to cook and there was always plenty of delicious food to eat.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Thomas Maxwell Rose; second husband Earl Winston Gould, and her brother James Chambers.
In keeping with Rose’s wishes, cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date. Please sign the guest book and send condolences on Fillatre.ca website.
