It is with great sadness the family of the late Gerard Organ announce his sudden passing on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Western Memorial Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 65 years.  Gerard was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a friend to all.  He loved playing his music and hosting a great shed party.  Gerard had a heart of gold and was always there to lend a helping hand. Most of all he loved spending time with his wife of 43 years, Minnie (nee Warren).

 He was predeceased by his loving parents, Ann Howse (George) and Austin Organ, parents-in-law, Norman and Louisa Warren.

Gerard leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his devoted wife Minnie, who has been by his side in the hospital for the past seven weeks; children: Ryan (Jolene) and Warren (Ashley); grandchildren Dexter and Leia, who were the light of his life; brothers: John (Laura), Levi (Marilyn), Ken (Paulette), Llewelyn (Julie) and Aussie (Tabatha); sisters: Ann Marie  Organ (Fintan),  Caroline  “Carrie” Organ (Allan), Diana Organ and Lisa Lehman; brothers-in-law: Doug (Lucy), Glenn (Ann Marie), Rodney (Jackie), Israel (Madeline), Derek (Elsie) and Elvis (Lorraine); and a very large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

As per Gerard’s request there will be no church service. There will be a Celebration of life with family at a later date. 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to John and Laura Organ and Hartley and Mary Hayman for helping Minnie and Gerard while he was in the hospital, and to all the people who called, messaged and came to visit Gerard.  A special thanks to all of Gerard’s nurses and Doctors for everything they did for him. Thank you for your kindness and compassion, it will never be forgotten. Gerard will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
