She loved you all greatly, keep her love in your memories. Thank-you from the bottom of our hearts for the infinite support and love that came from our cousin Donna Wheeler (Francis). We honestly don’t know what we would have done without you and your fountain of knowledge and strength. You are the greatest example of “an angel on earth”, We love you So grateful for all the care and concern from hospital staff and Palliative Care at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital who gave our mom the best comfort on the final days of her life journey. We want to show appreciation to the Fillatres family and Reverend Tanya White for assisting us with all of Moms wishes and final needs.

My Hero My Mom

First Shingles in January 2022

My god you did it!!

You battled the dreaded Shingles virus at 71 years young.

What a victorious battle to win when so many are defeated. You lost all of your weight and were so weak.

But you did it!!!

Then your diagnoses of aggressive small cell carcinoma in the Lung, with a lymphatic tumour in your throat.

Immediately Started Chemo treatments to battle the disease, still with Shingles long term symptoms.

Such a strong and courageous lady, in your little hat and royal purple blanket. Victory again, lymphatic tumour has shrunk, you can start to swallow better, pains behind the eye, oh such sharp agonizing pains and headaches.

But you charged right into the most vigorous radiation treatment that any 88lb body can withstand.

Totally burned up the esophagus inside, along with the stomach gas and pains, and the eye pain.

Eye surgery performed to remove a cyst behind the eye. Insane Pain has receded.

My god Mom, you have made me breathless with awe.

You are the greatest warrior I have ever known.

Burned, beaten, and bruised you survived the two radiation treatments per day for 15 days.

Tears of joy and sadness for you.

So weak, yet so very very tough.

New Chemo treatment approved again another huge VICTORY.

Three days later…..

Now,, in the ICU.

Perforated ulcer repair.

Survived the surgery.

Medal of Honor

Medal of Bravery

Medal of strength

Where in the world did you come from?

Are you super human?

Are you immortal, God I hope so.

Please Lord please ensure that my genes are more than half of this amazingly strong woman called my Mom.

Please, please, please know how much I admire you, and love every fibre of your being.

You are my Hero.

To be continued ……..with healing and Love.
