Sept. 11, 1940 – Dec. 1, 2022

A mother’s love is “not a contract.  It is the place you come back to, no matter where  you’re headed”.

It is with great sadness that our family announce the passing of our loving mother Monica Simon on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at the age of 82 years.

She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children:  Shirley White, John (Susan) Smith, Patricia Dimech, Joseph Simon, Stephen Simon, Barbara (Alphonsus) Hall, Angelina (Lionel) Hayley, Christopher (Stephanie) Simon; 20 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren as well as a large circle of extended family members and  friends.

She is pre-deceased by her parents Mary Bridget & William Louvelle, her late husbands:  Warren Smith, Amedia Simon and Raymond Blanchard.

Family would like to thank our Mom’s caregivers Audrey Bennett and Amanda Brumsey.  Your love and kindness you’ve shown to mom will never be forgotten.  Also to the staff at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital.

Visitation will be today, Friday, December 2, 2022 from 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.  Service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 @ 10:00 A.M. at the Roman Catholic, Assumption Parish Church, Stephenville Crossing, NL.  Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Brook Street, Stephenville Crossing, NL.  As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Food Bank.

We will miss you each day of our lives and remember you with every tear we cry.  We will long to see you and with our whole hearts we will honor you until we meet again.
