Obituary of Herbert Stanley Parsons

Herbert “Herb” Stanley Parsons
September 11, 1940 – December 5, 2022

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Herb Parsons announce his passing on December 5, 2022, at Western Long Term Care, Palliative Care, at the age of 82 years. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife of 59 years, Edna Parsons (nee Wilcox); children: Susan (Glen) and Janet (Dewy); grandchildren: Savannah, Matthew, Daniel, Jamie, and Kobe; great-grandchildren: Zachary, Cody, Remy, Brooke, Karina, Justin and Isaac; sisters: Helen, Lillian, Sylvia (John), Margaret (Michael); in-laws: Trudy (Walter), Audrey (Tim), Margaret (Sean), Fred (Lynda), Jim (Brenda) Herb, Sue, and Irene.

Herb was predeceased by his father Stanley Parsons; mother Catherine Parsons (nee Murphy); brothers Remy and Melvin; sister Marie; brothers-in-law Derrick, Bob, and Blaise; and sisters-in-law Marjorie and Linda.

Keeping with Herb’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, December 7^th, 2022, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, December 8^th, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. from Saint Mary the Virgin Anglican Church, 456 Curling Street, with Reverend Cynthia Haines-Turner officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Mary the Virgin Anglican Church, or a charity of one’s choice.
