Francis Austin Elford Curling, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Francis Elford announces his passing on Wednesday, December 16th, 2009 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 75 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his brothers: Autley (Donna) and Claude (Audrey), Curling; sisters: Doris Elford, Saint John, NB, Lena (Frank) Curnell, Curling and Lorraine (Arthur) Goodey, Pasadena; sister-in-law: Lydia Elford, Alberta; as well a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Mary Elford; brother: Newman and nephew Greg. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Thursday evening, 7-9:00 p.m. and Friday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 19th at 11:00 A.M. from St. Mary the Virgin Anglican church, Curling. Reverend Karen Laldin officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Hospital.
