Obituary of Augustus Pieroway

A true gentleman has left us. Augustus ‘Gussie’ Pieroway embodied the characteristics that mark a true gentle soul. Ever kind, gracious, respectful, and loving. His body was tired, but his spirit is still strong. We celebrate the honour of knowing him. We will remember him and all his fun-loving ways. He was fortunate to spend 61 years with the love of his life, Shirley. Their love never tired. Gussie smiled every day of his 88 years, let this be a lesson to us all. He has left his mark on our hearts, he will live on through our stories.

“Pretty good my son” – Augustus Pieroway

Gussie will forever be loved and remembered by his wife Shirley (Goulding). He was predeceased by his parents George and Florence Pieroway, his in-laws Willis and Eliza Goulding. His brothers, Gilbert, Tom, Jack, Andrew, Raymond, and sisters Annie and Mae. His brother in-laws Bill Goulding, Allan Langdon, and Marshall Snow. He leaves to mourn his brother Joe (Marie), and sister Cecelia. His in-laws Wade (Edna), Olive (Fred), Tom (Muriel), Bud (Patricia), Sus (Alex), Audie, Naomi, and Joanne. He will also be loved and missed dearly by a very large circle of nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at Fillatre's Funeral Home on St. Mark’s Avenue Sunday, December 11th, 2-4 p.m., with funeral service to follow at the chapel at Fillatre's Monday, December 12th, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Canon Tanya White officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to All Saints Anglican Church.
