Mabel Olive Gertrude Roberts Wellman Flynn, born August 3, 1928 in St. Paul’s River, QC.

The family would like to announce her peaceful passing surrounded by her family on December 23, 2022 at Labrador South Health Centre, Long Term Care Unit, Forteau, NL.

Mabel is predeceased by her parents; Matthew and Lily Roberts, Sister; Pearl Thomas (Cecil), Brothers; Scott Roberts(Leatrice), Delbert Roberts(Peggy), Donald Roberts(Lil), Richmond Roberts(Emma), Howard Roberts(Ida), Murdock Roberts. Sisters-in-law; Fern and Sarah, husband, Cecil Wellman and grandson, Ian Wellman.

She has left with loving memories forever; husband Clarus Flynn, children; Ward Wellman (Bette), Brenda Hancock (Reg), Dale Hancock (Edward), Cheryl Hancock (Fred), Tony Flynn (Denise). Grandchildren; Chad (Alfreda),Tracy (Justin), Neil (Tanya), Vicki (Trent), Colin (Shellie), Bryan, Shelly, Ryan (Susan), Nicole and Marcus. Great- grandchildren; Gracie, Olivia, Trevor, Hilary, Ryan, Jonah, Allan, Blake and Liam. And her brothers; Hollis and family, Ward and family, sister-in-law, Vera and family. Brother- in laws; Nelson(Madeline), Cecil(Sylvaine), Richard (Eliza), Stelman(Betty); Sister- in laws; Ethel, Maggie (Hollis) and Nancy (Dean)

Many special nieces and nephews, along with life long friends.

Her life was full and lived well. She had a love for her family, her faith, she loved to travel and has been to many corners of this world. She loved a game of cards, and the longer the car ride or a ride to Long Pond to the cabin on ski-doo, the better. There were many meals and family and friend get togethers over the years, the more people around the better she liked it. This always made her laugh and smile.

She will be loved, remembered and will be a part of our lives forever.

The family would like to thank the staff at Long Term Care for your second to none care, your endless compassion and going above and beyond each and every shift for Mabel and her family. It will never be forgotten!

Celebration of life service will be on Tuesday, December 27 @ 11:00, from St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Forteau with Rev. Larkin officiating.
