February 22, 1937 – December 25, 2022

It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Ignatius “Nish” Lee announce his passing on December 25, 2022, at the Western Long Term Care Home in Corner Brook, NL.

Nish is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gladys; children Brian Lee of Ayr, ON and Kelly (Floyd) Harvey of Erin, ON; his 3 precious grandchildren Breanna Harvey (Jack Michalek), Brayden Harvey, and Emily Lee; siblings Ann (Terry) McNeil, Joan Penney, Henry (Darleen) Lee, Susan Lee, Jim (Ann) Lee, Aubrey (Susan) Lee, Leo (Yvonne) Lee, and Larry (Karen) Lee. He will be missed by his many nephews, nieces, cousins, extended “Young” family, and friends.

Nish was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Bernadette Lee; sisters Gertie and Mary Lee; and brother-in-law Guy Penney.

A special Thank You to Dr. Peter Callahan and all the staff at Shoreview Unit in Western Long Term Care, also to his caregivers Natalie, Linda, Louise, and Verna for their exceptional love and care. To his special friend John Hossack and wife Maureen, your love and kindness will never be forgotten.

A Visitation will take place from the hours of 7-9 pm on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at the Anglican Church of the Resurrection, Birchy Head, NL. Followed by a Funeral Service on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 2 pm with Rev. Canon Jeffrey Petten officiating. In lieu of flowers, family and friends may donate to a charity of one’s choice.
