Obituary of Leonard Bruce Williams

Leonard Bruce Williams, Born in Card’s Harbour, NL on January 17, 1942.

It is with broken hearts and very much love the family of the late Leonard Bruce Williams say goodbye to their precious Dad, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Brother, Partner and Friend on Saturday, December 31, 2022.

During his 80 years of living he has left us with tremendous life lessons to live by, many memories of fun singalongs, numerous games of competitive golf and lets not forget his exemplary example he set for “how to be an upright businessperson” in our community.

He has a reputation of being a kind, generous and fair individual. Leaving lasting impacts on lives we may never know about this side of Heaven.

Leaving to mourn: Partner Patricia Russell; Children: Darrold (Brenda), Deborah (Malcolm) and Darren (Stacey); Grandchildren: Jade (Andrew), Courtney, Lacey, Julia (Jordan) and Cody (Caitlyn); Great-Grandchildren: Chase, Antonia, Maisie, Sadie and William; Brother Howard (Jean); Sisters: Violet, Peggy (Winston), Christine (Clarence); Sisters and Brothers-In-Law: Lulu, Roger, Beryl, Geraldine, Viola and Jerry (Paulette); With loving mention; Patsy’s family: Mike (Valarie and Cameron, Michelle (Terry and Clarke) and Meghan (Jeff and Eloise) and a very large circle of nieces, nephews and special friends.

He was predeceased by his loving Wife of 53 years Maisie Alice Williams, Parents DJ and Annabelle, Mother and Father-In-Law Morley and Winnifred; Brothers and Sisters-In-Law Cyril, Bronson, Ethel (Thomas), Gertie, Cecil, Nellie, Hubert, Cliff and Wilson (May).

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 5 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake. The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 6 at 2:00 p.m. from Emmanuel Pentecostal Church, Bennett Avenue with Pastor Jeffrey White officiating. Interment to follow at Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery, Pentecostal Section, Wight’s Road. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Deer Lake Regional Food Bank.
