It is with great sadness that the family of the late Shirley Yvonne Drover Whiteley announce her passing at the age of 79 years at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL. Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and loyal friend to so many is safe in the arms of Jesus. Shirley gave her heart to Jesus about 15 years ago. We watched her change and grow into a wonderful godly woman with a surpassing desire to serve her heavenly father. Now she sings with all her heart and soul, cherished by the saviour we heard her sing about. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

Shirley leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her daughters: Donna Brinkman (Andrea Fowler), Vanessa Bonnell (Gregory Bonnell), Claudette Crant (Gregory Crant); son: David Young (Natasha Young); grandchildren: Kevin Young (Corina) and children, Travis Young (Victoria) and children, Victoria Menchenton, Ayden Menchenton, Silas Bonnell, Amy Bonnell, Deidra Bourgeois, Selena Young, and David Young.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband, and many other loved ones.

There will be a visitation held on Tuesday, January 17^th from the hours of 12:30-2:30pm at Fillatre Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue in Corner Brook. The funeral service will take place at 3:30pm on Tuesday, January 17^th at First Pentecostal Church, 58 Premier Drive, Corner Brook, with Pastor Larry Soper officiating.
