Marion Alicia Collier

Stephenville, NL

September 10, 1943 – January 25, 2023

It is with great sadness that the family of Marion Alicia Collier announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook on January 25, 2023 at the age of 79 years.

Marion leaves to mourn, her daughters-in-law: Kimberley Collier, Elaine Collier; grandchildren:  Tristan (Eva Louisa) Collier, Katrina (Mark) Gallant, Kavanaugh (Michelle) McCarthy, Holly (Kyle) Collier, Sarah Collier, Tyler Collier, Faith Collier; great-grandchildren:  Randy Collier, Connor Collier, Grayson, Kayden, Charlotte Collier, Hannah Collier; sisters-in-law:  Lorraine Collier, Leona Collier; brother-in-law:  Ralph Collier.

Marion was a very soulful, compassionate loving person.  She was always available to anyone who needed her.  She loved her family, especially her grandbabies. She loved all of her grandchildren to no end.  She was known to her grandbabies as plain nanny, and she adored them with all of her heart.  She has been and will forever be loved by all who knew her.  Her devotion to her community of Gallants was always seen by her involvement in many areas of the community such as supporting the Anglican Church in any way that she could.  Marion was a very classy lady who stood out like no other. If you walked through the community and stopped at her home, her door was always open and she was ready to share a meal.  She loved to bake and cook with her family and friends.  Marion fed and welcomed everyone.  Over the past several years, Marion lived with her grandchild Katrina who took awesome care of her. Marion has been and will forever be the love of our lives. 

She was predeceased by her parents Silas Ralph and Sabina (Davis) Ralph; her loving, devoted husband James Collier; sons:  Randy & Rod Collier; grandchild Meaghan Ann Collier.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital for their provided care and support for Marion.

Visitation, Saturday, January 28, 2023, 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. @ Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Stephenville Crossing, NL.

To respect Marion’s wishes, cremation will take place following the visitation.

“A Celebration of Life” will be announced at a later date.

Funeral arrangements has been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Stephenville Crossing, NL.
