To Harry, Darren, David, Diane & Family. We are so deeply sorry for your sudden loss. Our fondest memories of Shirley are during the times spent together at Taylor's Brook. We always looked forward to the week of fishing at the lodge in the summer where we would reconnect and catch up with Harry and Shirley. Shirley was always keenly interested in the lives of our children, remembering the tiniest of details from our last times together. She loved watching our children grow up and would listen intently to their recollection of all the shenanigans that happened over the past year. And when it was her turn to catch up, she would beam with pride, telling us about her amazing children and grandchildren. Shirley was so much fun to be around. She was easy to talk to. She was kind and genuine. We would spend lots of time in the sunporch at the lodge, where she would bring her knitting and watch Harry fishing in the mouth of Taylor's Brook. We can hear her voice now, "oh my Harry you almost hooked that one". It was obvious to us that she and Harry had something special. They had an affection and mutual respect for each other. Theirs was a love story. We will miss Shirley. We will miss her friendship, her smile, her eternal optimism, her easy going attitude and we will miss her cream cheese apricot cake. May you find strength in each other and may the love she gave to you comfort you in the days ahead.
With love, Mike, Nicole, Silas, Alex and Lauren
