IVAN YOUNG Stephenville Crossing, NL 1926 – 2009 Passed away peacefully in his 83rd year at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville, on Thursday, December 31st, 2009. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Alice of 54 years, his two sons: Faron (Joyce), Springhill, NS, Glenn, Barachois Brook; four daughters: Barbara, Barachois Brook, Karen McGraw (Bertrand), Tracadie, NB, Beverley (Denis), Ste. Julie, PQ, and Lisa Lucas (Brian), Stephenville Crossing; eight grandchildren: Shawn (Mylesa), Megan, David (Marie-Helene), Allison, Michael, Simon, Dakota, Ty Andre; one great granddaughter: Sofia; five sisters: Loretta Lee, Isabelle McDonald, Magdalene Cochrane, Barbara Kovich and Janet Williford; as well as numerous family and life long friends. Visitation will take place at St. Josephs Parish in St. George’s on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m, from where the funeral service will be held on Monday, January 4th at 11:00 A.M. Father Gerard Patry officiating. The family invites family and friends to join them at the Legion in St. George’s following the interment. Special Thanks to Dr. Edwin Parsons, Dr. Ganguly (St. John’s), Dr. Bruff and the wonderful nurses of the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Palliative and Medicine Unit for their kindness and support during the care of our father.
