Obituary of Leah Knott

Leah Knott
November 13, 1929 – February 10, 2023

It is with great sadness that the family of late Leah Knott announce her passing on Friday, February 10, 2023 at the Bonne Bay Hospital in her 93^rd year.
She will be sadly missed by her loving family, her son Paul and wife Denise; two  very special grandchildren Damien (Courtney) and Dustin (Tai-Jauna); three-great grand children Jacob, Jack, and Brayden; sisters-in-law Elizabeth (Biggin) Payne, Gwendolyn Payne, and Ada (Knott) Johnson.  
Leah was predeceased by her husband Rex; parents Mary Ann and Norman Payne; brothers Sandy, Reginald (Maudie), Leslie (Judy), Obadiah, Bryant, Freeman (Rachel), and Ellis (Bertha); sisters Elsie Payne (Gorman), Hazel Parsons (John), and Hilda Roberts (Reginald); sisters-in-law Edith Butt (Edward), Effie Major (Phil), Lillian Hewlin (Jack), Mildred Roberts (William), Eva Hewlin (George); and brother-in-law Greavett Knott (Nora).  
Leah was a very kind lady and she loved to share stories about her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she adored. All of her health care workers at the Cow Head Seniors Complex always said, it was a delight to care for her. The family would like to thank all the staff of the Bonne Bay Health Centre in Norris Point for caring for Leah during her last years. Special thanks to Ada Parsons and Marie Gill for their continued support and loving care in her families absence.
A Visitation for family and friends will take place at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Cow Head, NL on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 from the hours of 2-4 pm and 7-9pm and on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from the hours of 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 2:00 PM with Catechist Nora Shears officiating. Interment will follow at the Cow Head Cemetery.
