Obituary of Kayla Nicole Nuna
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Kayla Nicole Nuna announce her sudden passing at the age of 29 years on February 17th, 2023.
Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her common-law partner: Darren “Tiny” McKay, children: Anderson Jaxx Nuna Sellon (age 9) and Dreyah Shakashtueu McKay (age 1.5), her parents: Gavin and Patricia, brothers: Sebastian, Gavinis, Craig, Shaun, Mario, and Carter “Wall-e,” as well as sisters: Dana, Christa, and Asia.
Kayla is pre-deceased by her grandfathers: Sebastian “Nuta” Nuna, Apenam T. Pone, and Larry Sellon.
Visitation for immediate family at Fillatre's Funeral Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, on Thursday, February 23rd from 2-4pm, followed by public visitation from 7-9pm. Kayla will also be resting at Christine Nuna's house in Shetshetshiu for visitation on Friday, February 24th beginning at 5:30pm.
Funeral mass will be held at Tshitshitua Shushep Roman Catholic Church, Shetshetshiu, on Saturday, February 25th at 11:00am with Fr. Joe officiating. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted by the family.
