Obituary of Frederick Hughie O'Dell

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Frederick (Freddy) Hughie O’Dell announce his passing at the Labrador South Health Centre, Forteau, Labrador at the age of 65 years. 

Born on July 8^th, 1957, to Edward and Caroline O’Dell. Freddy was a true Labrador man. He had a great love for the outdoors. Whether it was fishing, berry picking, ski-dooing, or out on his quad, he led a very active lifestyle. He was someone who always greeted you with a smile, hug, or friendly conversation. Caring, kind and honest, are few of the many great qualities that defined Freddy. The only thing to surpass his love for the outdoors, was the love he shared for his family. 

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his daughters: Dominique (Jordan), and Natasha; son: Jon (Karolina); grandchildren: Gracie and Xena. Brothers: Bill, Mederick, and Barry; sisters: Lucy (Peter), Elizabeth (Doug), Julie (Louis), Annette (Stan), and Evelyn (Harvey). His best buddies: Bertie and David; As well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. 

Freddy was predeceased by his wife: Juanita O’Dell; parents: Edward (Ned) and Caroline O’Dell; sisters: Dorothy and Ruby; brothers: Edward and Joe; nephew: Colin O’Dell; niece: Dale Pike; and brothers-in-law: Ted Hillyard and John Tracey.

As per Freddy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. 

There will be a celebration of his life on Saturday, February 25^th, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. at the Pinware town hall. All are welcomed to attend.
