Card of Thanks

The family of the late Jennifer Dawe wish to express their deep appreciation to those who have offered such kindness, support and messages of sympathy and comfort in our time of bereavement. We gratefully acknowledge all the cards, phone calls, messages, food, flowers mass cards and donations to the Cancer Society in Jennifer’s memory.  Special thanks to Colemans who have gone above and beyond in providing food and support to our family in this difficult time.

Thank you to all have visited the funeral home and attended the funeral mass. A special thank you to Mindy Holloway and the rest of the Fillatre’s team for their professionalism and compassion.

A very special thank you to Father Terry who had visited Jennifer in hospital and at home. His beautiful sermon, at the funeral mass, will never be forgotten. Special thanks to Brian Terry and the choir for playing all the music Jennifer loved to hear.

No words can ever express our sincere thanks for proving such support to our family in this time of sorrow.

Your kindness will always be remembered.

It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Jennifer Ann Dawe (nee Fraser) announce her passing on Friday, February 24, 2023 at the age of 55. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 30 years Craig Dawe: daughter Kathleen (Elliott), son Jacob (Gabby), mother Mona Fraser, sister Carla (Dwayne), brother Christopher (Janice), in-laws Ed and Shirley Dawe, brother-in-law Wade (Janette), fur babies Tonka and Ruby, nephews James (Emili), Zachary (Shalee), Alex, and nieces Anna and Erica as well as special family friends Juanita, Mark and Seamus Kennedy and a large circle of family and friends.

 

Jennifer was predeceased by her father Carl Fraser and sister Carol-Ann.

 

Jennifer was a special person who touched the hearts of many who had the privilege of meeting her. She was kind, generous and compassionate. Her smile would light up a room and her bubbly positive personality was infectious. She loved the simple things in life, spending time at the cabin, taking the dogs for a walk, and baking delicious treats. She was loved by many, especially her family, friends and work family. Jennifer was an employee of Colemans for over 30 years and the staff were her second family. They have shown both her and her family compassion and support throughout this difficult journey. 

 

The family would like to express its utmost gratitude to the palliative team at Western Long Term Care in Corner Brook, her family Doctor, Dr. Peter Callahan and oncology teams at the Health Sciences Center as well as special friend Krystal Gushue who all helped make Jennifer's wishes to remain home a reality. Special thanks to the Qalipu First Nations for all their support, The family is also thankful to friends and the community for their support. 

 

Visitation at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue will be on Sunday from the hours of 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, February 27 at 2pm at All Hallows Roman Catholic Church, Humber Road with Father Edward Terry officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
