Obituary of Michael Leo Patey
February 26, 1969 - February 20, 2023
It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Michael Leo Patey announce his sudden passing at his residence in Oshawa, Ontario, Monday, February 20, 2023, at the age of 53 years.
He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his mother Clara Patey, three sisters: Karen Offery, Bernice Cummins (Robert), Daphne Patey (Steve), and four brothers: Lloyd Patey, Matthew Patey, Sherlock Patey (Joan), Robert Patey (Betty) and a large circle of aunts, an uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be greatly missed by his love of life and his love of music.
Michael is predeceased by his father Matthew Gould.
The family is abiding by his wishes to return to Newfoundland for his final resting place.
Visitation will take place at Fillatre's Funeral Home in Port au Choix for a one day viewing. Funeral will follow the next day at St. Thomas Beckett Anglican Church in Port au Choix. Rev. Marie Smith Officiating.
