It is with great sadness that the family of the late Charles Warr announce his passing on February 25, 2023 at his home in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at the age of 83 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are wife Sandy, children Chris, Dee and Greg (Tanya) along with his grandchildren Brandon (Emily), Tyler, Shanelle and Sabrina. And his very special fur baby Zoee. He will be missed by his brothers Donald (Dorothy) and Robert (Dawn), sister Gloria, brother-in-law Merv as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. He will also be missed by a large circle of friends and loved ones. He is predeceased by his daughter Kimberly, parents Ruby and Charlie Warr, parents-in-law Phyllis and George Wylie, brother Bert, sisters-in-law Betty and JoAnn.
Charlie was born in St. John’s and permanently moved to Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL in 1964 where he continued to fall in love with the town, its people and was passionate about its development. He cherished his time working in and for the community, participating in various sports, and making long lasting friendships. His genuine love for this town and everyone in it was reflected in his many stories of a life well lived.
As a family we are grateful that the suffering has ended and are comforted knowing that Charlie is now at peace. Our love lives on forever. We would like to thank Dr. Woollam and the nurses at Community Health for their exemplary care and compassion over these last difficult months.
