It is with great sadness that the family of the late Muriel Griffin announce her passing on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at the Green Bay Health Centre in Springdale at the age of 91 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her children: Geraldine Parsons (Calvin), Jerry Griffin (Linda), Jocelyn Bellows (Darrin), Kim England (Brent); grandchildren: Michelle, Tanya, Brad, Lana, Crystal, Kelly, Carolyn, Nicholas, and Ashley; 17 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Myrtle of Ontario, Peggy of Corner Brook, Valerie of St. Johns, and Marie of Ontario; special friend: Ruth Swyers, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Muriel was predeceased by her husband: Jeremiah Griffin; daughters: Rosalyn and Genevieve; parents: Lucy and Eric Butt; life-long friends: Mabel Bennett and Pauline King.

Public visitations will take place at Fillatre Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street, on Thursday, March 16th from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9pm, and on Friday, March 17th from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9pm. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 18th at 2:00pm at Westside Tabernacle, 37 Elizabeth Street, with Pastor Grimes officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, flowers will be graciously accepted, or memorial donations may be made to The Canadian Diabetes Association.
