Norbert Thomas Hoskins

The Hoskins family sadly announce the passing of our dearest brother and uncle. Norbert Thomas Hoskins. Norbert passed away on the afternoon of Sunday, March 12^th, 2023 at the age of seventy six. He leaves to mourn his wife of fourteen years Loretta, two brothers, Fred (Anita) and Brian (Maxine), grand niece Katie Martel. He is predeceased by his parents Thomas and Mary Hoskins (nee Willcott), brother Leo, sisters Emily Marshy, Joanne Mitchell and Mary Chippett. Norbert was a kind and gentle soul who was well liked for his friendly attitude and whimsical humour. The family would like to thank the staff of the Lohnes Complex in Corner Brook, where Norbert resided for the past eight years, for their excellent care.

Norbert also leaves behind twelve nieces and nephews: Thomas Hoskins, Mona Morin, Leila Marshy, David Hoskins, Nadia Marshy, Lisa Chippett-Martel, Mona Marshy, Darryl Hoskins, Robert Marshy, Pamela Hall, Mark Hoskins, and Katie Martel.

Viewing will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home on 4 St. Mark’s Avenue, in Corner Brook on Friday, March 17 at 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM.

Funeral Service will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue, in Corner Brook at 2 PM Saturday, March 18^th.

The presiding minister will be Rev. Mitchell Foley, Corner Brook Baptist Church.

Cremation to take place following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Western Memorial Hospital Foundation.
