Norman Fudge

August 22, 1933 - March 23, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Norman Fudge announce his passing on Thursday, March 23rd, 2023 at the Bay St George Long Term facility at the age of 89.

He leaves to mourn with fond memories: wife of 68 years, Betty, son David (Marilyn) and daughter Jackie (Carson). Grandchildren Michael (Mandy), Joshua (Andrea) and Jeffrey (Stephanie). Great grandchildren Blake, Cohen, Kendyl, Caroline and Jacob. Also leaving to mourn sister Sarah, brother Edwin (Ruby) and brother in law Jack (Judy) as well as numerous extended relatives and friends.

Dad was predeceased by parents Ella and Samuel, brothers Eric, Kenneth and Samuel.

Dad spent 30 years away working on the Great Lakes where he had many dear friends. He retired at the age of 59 at which time he devoted his life to his family, especially his grandchildren. They were his pride and joy and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for them. Upon his retirement mom and dad built a cabin up at  White Bear Bay. There were many good times spent with family and friends during those years. We are grateful that dad had many great years spending time with those he loved. He was a kindhearted soul who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Special thanks to all who helped care for him at home and during his short stay at the Bay St George Long Term Care centre.

Following his wishes cremation has taken place. There will be no service at this time. Interment will take place at a later date.

As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bay St George Sick Children Foundation or the Southwest Coast SPCA.
