It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edith Estelle Howlett (nee House) announce her passing on March 22^nd, 2023 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 89. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband of 48 years William (Bill) LeDrew; blended family: Maureen Hemrick, Thomas (Penny) Howlett, Bill (Lesley) Howlett, Wayne (Jackie) Howlett, Sherry LeDrew, Shelly (Chris Pittman) LeDrew, Sandy LeDrew, 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and her sisters: Annie, Helen, Irene, Linda and Marie.

Edith was predeceased by her parents Henry and Alfreda House, and her brothers Jack and Albert House.

Keeping with Edith’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be taking place on Tuesday, March 28^th at 10:00 a.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Home Chapel, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue, with Reverend Canon David Russel officiating. Reception to follow immediately after the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue. Burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador.

A very special thank you to all the doctors, nurses and staff at Western Memorial Regional Hospital for all your exceptional care. Also, a special thank you to Reverend Canon David Russell for your many visits.

Edith was a kind and thoughtful soul and will be missed and remembered by the many lives that she touched by her kind and thoughtful nature.

Everyone is sad you left this world, but we are happy you are with loved ones.
