Marion Noelle Allen October 25, 1920 … January 25, 2010 Curling, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marion Allen announces her passing on January 25th, 2010, at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 89 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 67 years, John W. Allen, and her children: Marlene (Bert) Kennedy, Ontario, Derek (Delores) Allen, Halfway Point, Wallace (Bev) Allen, Ontario, Doug Allen, Corner Brook Glenys (Fred) Park, McIver’s, Linda (Arch) Park, McIver’s, Bill (Sylvia) Allen, Corner Brook, Elizabeth (Frank) Anstey, Mount Moriah, Baxter (Gaye) Allen, Ontario, Gloria (Joey) Lavers, Ontario and Byron (Louise) Allen, Meadows; 18 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Sophie Bartlett, Corner Brook, Nina Rock, Ontario and Audrey Collins, Corner Brook; as well as large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents: William and Minnie Doman; daughter: Baby Gloria; great grandchildren: Baby Baxter Park and Baby Alexander Park; daughter-in-law: Dianne Allen; brothers and sisters and their spouses: Eva (George) Jenkins, Maude (Abe) LeDrew, Ella (Joe) Curtis, Chesley (Vera) Doman, Gerald (Eunice) Doman, Kenneth (Evelyn) Doman and George Doman; father and mother-in-law: John and Francis Allen; sisters and brothers-in-law: Lilly (Herb) Porter, Eva (Jack) Leggo, Winnie (Hayward) Hilliard, Mariah (Richard) Young, Robert (Mary) Allen, Lena (Cameron) Simms, Beattie Bartlett, Thomas Rock and Johnny Collins. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Tuesday evening, 7-9: 00 p.m., and Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Funeral service will take place on Thursday, January 28th, at 2:00 p.m. from St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church, Curling. Reverend Karen Laldin Officiating. The Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers would be graciously accepted or donations may be made to St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Curling. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca.
