Obituary of Mary Laverna Bennett

It is with profound sadness and the heaviest hearts that the family of Mary Laverna Bennett announce her sudden passing at her private residence in Stephenville Crossing on April 3, 2023 at the age of 68 years.

Her best friend and ex-husband Melvin (Mattis Point); her long time friend Randall Bennett of Stephenville Crossing; her 4 children:  Bradley of Ontario, Kevin (Sue) of Stephenville Crossing, Nicole (Lamont) of Mattis Point, Mary (Joseph) of Barachois Brook; her 12 grandkids, Tyler (Pam) Tyrone, Raelynn, Gordie, Chris, Kevin Jr., Dianna, Brittney, Courtney, Shanell, Nathan, Demetree, Allysandra and her great-grandchildren, who were also like her grandkids.  Her sister Yvonne (Glenn) of Mattis Point, Melvin (Marie) of Mattis Point, Stachia of Ontario, Glenn (Shirley) of New Brunswick and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents (Mom) Viola and (Dad) Joseph, grandson Brandon, sister Romona and Madonna.

According to Mary’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Services to be announced at a later date.

Funeral arrangements has been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.
