Martha Eavis

September 13, 1948 – April 03, 2023

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Martha Eavis announce her sudden passing on April 3rd, 2023.

She leaves to mourn with endless love and treasured memories, her husband of 50 years Clyde and her pride and joy, son Darren and his wife Georgette. Brothers: John (Marg) and Peter (Jenny); Sisters: Mary (Pius), Beth, Theresa (Oswald) and Susan (Dan); Sister-in-law: Rita; Brother-in-law: George (Francis), and a large circle of Nieces, Nephews and Friends who were as loved as family.

Martha was predeceased by her Mother Gert (Granny), Father Arch; Brothers: Mike and Kevin; Brother-in-law: Bill; Sisters-in-law: Theresa and Maureen; Nephew: Dean; Father-In-law: John, Mother-in-law: Elizabeth; Brother-in-law: Russell (Betty); Sisters-in-law: Hazel (Sam), Susie (Gerald) and Louise (Ron).

Martha moved to Ramea from St. Alban’s in 1971 where she settled down and built a wonderful life that included a large circle of family and friends. She always had a special way about her that could bring a smile to anyone she met. Unless of course, the tide was high, the water rough, or there was a black bear within 10 miles, then you just might not see any smiles. Martha was always excited to see visitors in their home and always excited to prepare a meal or late-night lunch. Her pleasures in life were simple, talking to her family on the phone, Bingo, Cards, and a dance every now and then. Mind you, the card games from time to time also included a dance around the table if she managed to skunk you playing Crib.

May happiness and smiles shine brightly on everyone that was blessed to know this wonderful woman.

As per Martha’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no service at this time. Interment will take place at a later date.
