April 29, 1931 – April 11, 2023

 

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Charles Alfred Legge announce his passing on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, NL at the age of 91 years.

 

He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children:  Mark (Sylvia), Marlene, Vivian (Frank), Janice (Roddie), Darren (Lesley); large circle of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; sisters:  Josephine (Joe), Barbara (Eric), Lucy; brother:  Bernard (Valerie).  Also nephew and best friend Calvin White Sr. and special friend Stacey Bennett.

 

He was predeceased by his parents:  Robert and Mary Legge; children:  Priscilla, Viola, Charles Jr. and Dorman; brothers:  Joseph, Percy and Pius; sisters:  Dinnetta, Bridget, Margaret, Mary and Ethel.

 

The family would like to thank his home support worker, Sylvia, for her care and compassion she showed our father over the last number of years. Also thanks to the staff at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital and his Nurse Practitioner Wendy.

 

Respecting Charles wishes, cremation has taken place.  There will be a funeral service at the St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church in Flat Bay on Monday, April 17, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Edmund Dantes officiating. 

 

As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Flat Bay, NL.

 

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing
