It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gordon Wight announce his passing on April 21, 2023, at Western Long Term Care, Palliative Care Unit, at the age of 76. Left to mourn with many fond and loving memories are his common-law spouse, Melvina Taylor; children: Rick Wight (Lesley), Jason Gordon Wight (Carolyn Cobb), and Andrew Wight (Sabrina Langdon); grandchildren: Sean Wight, Laura Wight, Claire Wight, and Logan Wight; the mother of the boys, Lillian Wight; his best friend Rodney Kelly; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Gordon was predeceased by his parents Reuben Wight and Laura Marie Wight (nee Judge).
Keeping with Gordon’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be an interment taking place on Wednesday, April 26th, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Patricia Cemetery, with Major Wilburt Abbott officiating.
