Obituary of Rachel (Joice) Allen

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rachel (Joice) Violet Allen, announce her passing on Sunday, May 7th, 2023, at the Labrador Health Centre, Happy Valley - Goose Bay, NL, at the age of 79 years.

Leaving to mourn: Husband Oswald, daughters Lottie Rich and April Allen (Andre), sons Frazer Rich, Arnold Rich, Rory Allen (Tanya), and Everett Allen (Marina). Grandchildren Joelene, Alex, Mary Beth, Julia, Colton, Natasha, Guido, Ian, Monique, Vincent, Emilio, Jasmine, Jermaine, Malachi, Farren, and Declan. Greatgrandchildren Marshal, Shyanne, Nevaeh, Paris, Kiah, Austin, Kevin, Jacinda, Cameron, Sebastian, Clyde, Mariah, Samuel, AJ, Shane, Grayson, Landon, Ashton, Kaeden, Violet, Dallas, and Wyatt. Brothers and sisters Myrtle, Clarice (David), Jim (Madonna), Steve (Delphine), John, Donald (Shirley), George (Maria), and Sam (Christine). In-law brothers and sisters Max (Beulah), Jim, Hubert, Bonnie (Tug), Lorraine (Roger), Barry, Hady (Belinda), and Melva (Jim). And a large circle of nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews, and many more family and friends.

Joice was predeceased by: Sons, Farren Rich, Patrick Rich, and Johnny Rich. Grandchildren Matthew Gear-Allen, Melinda Rich (Andrew), and Anita Rich. Parents, Steve and Elizabeth Tooktoshina, and in-law parents, Matthew and Blanche Allen. Brothers, Edgar Lucy, Melvin Tooktoshina, Ralph Tooktoshina, and sister, Susan Rideout.

Visitation services are scheduled to take place at Fillatre's Funeral Home, Happy Valley - Goose Bay, NL on Monday, May 8th, 2023, from the hours of 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. 

A funeral service will be held at St. Timothy's Anglican church in Rigolet, with a date to be announced in the coming days.
