June 23, 1936 – May 9, 2023

It is with sadness that the family of the Late Alfred Thomas Pittman announce his passing on May 9, 2023, at the age of 86 years.

He leaves to mourn sisters Annie (Charles) Devlin, Barbara Fowler; special niece Phyllis (John) Curl; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Alfred was predeceased by his parents Elias and Sarah Pittman; brothers Raymond (Bernice) Pittman, Howard (Dulcie) Pittman; sisters Edith (Gordon) Collins, Mary (Chesley) Hamlyn, Gertie Foster; and brother-in-law Edward Fowler.

The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Western Long-Term Care (Stillwaters Unit) in Corner Brook for taking such great care of Alfred during his stay. Your kindness and care will not be forgotten.

A visitation will be held on May 10, 2023, from the hours of 7-9 pm and May 11, 2023, from the hours of 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the Anglican Church of Transfiguration in Sops Arm. A funeral service will held on May 12, 2023 at 2 pm with Rev. Charlene Laing officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson Society Newfoundland and Labrador
