HUBERT JOHN RICKETTS Sop’s Arm, NL 1934 - 2010 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hubert John Ricketts announce his passing on Friday, February 5th, 2010 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 75 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 46 years Marie; children: Marion (Brent) Sullivan, Kitchener, Ont., Kenneth (Rozlyn) Ricketts, Brantford, Ont., Alva Ricketts (Stewart Gillingham), Pollards Point, Joan Ricketts (Arnold Napman), Wallace (Susan) Ricketts and Joseph (Rita) Ricketts all of Kitchener, Ont; 9 grandchildren: Danielle, Michael, Kaitlyn, Katina, Heather, Joshua, April, Charlotte and Rebecca; one great granddaughter Taylor Rose; brothers: Fred (Gertie) and Frank (Cecily) both of Deer Lake, sister-in-law Patsy Ricketts; mother-in-law Pearl (Darius) Davis; brothers and sisters-in-law: Garland (Ivy), Rex (Roxanne), Harvey (Fran), Clarence (Leah), Brian (Velma), Eldon (Kim), Stan (Linda), Sam (Ruby), Mary (Winston) Park, Sadie (Lewis) Young, Debbie (Clarence) Pynn, Brenda (Terry) Eveleigh, as well as a large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Nathaniel and Minnie Ricketts, daughter Neta Ricketts, brothers Ernest and Tom (Floss), sisters Annie (James) Gale and Alva Ricketts, brother-in-law Roy Davis. Friends may visit the Pentecostal Church in Sop’s Arm on Monday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 9th at 2:00 PM with Pastor Murray Langdon officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery.
